Ben Lin, bass
Taiwanese American bass Ben Han-Wei Lin has been a roster member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale since the 2017–18 season. Best known for his resonant bass timbre, Lin’s voice provides a rich foundation that enhances the sound of any ensemble.
This spring season, he can be seen performing Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles with the Princeton University Chamber Choir under the direction of Gabriel Crouch, as well as with Baroque Collegium LA, led by Mike Raleigh, and the PRISM Chamber Choral Ensemble—which specializes in works from the Renaissance—under the co-directorship of Adrien Redford and Donna M. Di Grazia. This summer, Ben looks forward to touring Brussels and Paris in Heinrich Schütz’s Music to Accompany a Departure with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Based in Los Angeles, he frequently performs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl during the summer, and the Los Angeles Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. In addition to live concerts as a classically trained singer, his voice can also be heard in numerous major motion pictures, sound recordings, television shows, and commercials—demonstrating great versatility. His recent credits include Wicked, Twisters, Despicable Me 4, and Avatar: The Way of Water.
